Second largest in the CDA by population,
Aytré also stands out as the home of Alstom's largest plant
(1,240 employees) and the Belle Aire and Cottes-Maille business
estates. Rediscovering its coastline, the town has gradually
spread in that direction for much of its urban development.
Another of Aytré's claims to fame is its "horse", a contemporary
work of art forming the centrepiece of the Town Hall square. |
