The second part of the town's name
says it in a nutshell - "plage" means beach, and Châtelaillon-Plage
is set right on the ocean. This seaside resort, identified by
its classic architecture, boasts one of the area's main beaches.
While a summertime favourite for tourists, Châtelaillon has
developed many year-round activities. Like the neighbouring
village of Boucholeurs, it is also an oyster-farming town. |
