  • You run a commercial operation
    The conurbation was one of the first in France to signe an urban-planning charter on commercial land use in 1994, followed by a second in 2006. Drafted jointly by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chamber of Trade and the Urban Community of La Rochelle, the charter pursues three goals:
    • Foster the development of distribution while preserving commercial diversity,
    • Maintain a geographically balanced commercial fabric throughout the conurbation,
    • Address the social implications of commercial services, especially as regards the role played by the neighbourhood store.
