Business tourism |
| Extending the summer tourist season, the main
periods for business tourism are from April to June and then from
September to November. |
In the spring and autumn, the
weather on the Atlantic coast is very mild. La Rochelle is bathed
in a light whose unique quality attracts numerous artists. While conference-goers
find the off-season calm conducive to their work, their families can
enjoy at leisure the historical sites and beauty of the area.
La Rochelle disposes of a vast choice of hotels and restaurants.
Organisers of conferences and seminars can count on all the auxiliary
services they need to arrange for communication, installation of exhibits,
hosting facilities, outside activities and events, and so forth.
Seminars and conferences
La Rochelle offers a complete range of facilities suited to all
kinds of events.
- Forum des Pertuis (Minimes Conference Centre)
accommodates groups up to 450 people. This
is an ideal set-up for the organisation of one-day regional events
or business and professional conventions.
- Espace Encan
the conference centre located right in the city, has 10 committee
rooms, a reception lobby, an exhibition hall and an auditorium seating 800. It can accommodate both large
and small events, and arrangements can be made for meal service
on location. As well as a venue for conferences, conventions,
meetings and seminars of 450 to 800 people, Espace Encan is positioned
on the market for trade fairs (available area of more than 3000
m2) and organised events (product rollouts, receptions, shows,
etc.), not to mention meetings of less than 150 people, for which
the committee rooms are the perfect solution.
Lastly, La Rochelle's Exhibition Park, with its hall covering
more than 10,000 m2, hosts large-scale
events for 800 people or more.
